This first blog post, along with the press release we are excited to share, marks a significant moment for our team. It's our first greeting to our community, who we hope will help us grow for years to come as we turn Decentralized Wifi (DeWi) into a new, global standard.

Uplink's Journey.

We take pride in our journey, from partnering with industry titans and Fortune 500 companies like Ericsson, to being backed and trusted by some of the largest utility companies in the world, like Deutsche Telekom, EDP Portugal, and E.ON. These years and partnerships allowed us to better understand our product offering, market fit, and how we could build it to have a lasting and real impact in the world of connectivity. We firmly believe that in order to change the standards for a better Internet, one that is open, decentralized, and democratic, our focus should be on the product and network driving this success. The technology we have been building all along makes decentralized connectivity possible. Our technology paves the way for not only DeWi but all of DePIN—a vision materialized through the Uplink network. It's an ecosystem that embodies balance, consistency, and independence, fostering accessibility for all. Because, at the end of the day, everyone deserves access to connectivity.

We'll craft a decentralized connectivity platform. Fresh off the heels of our recent milestone—a successful $10 million raise led by Framework Ventures-we're poised to propel our core mission: decentralizing Internet access. Other members included in our funding round that also will help us realize this vision include Blockchange, Stratos, Mustard Seed Maze, NXGen, and Outlier Ventures amongst others. Our decentralized network ecosystem is designed to ensure that everyone, regardless of their location or economic status, can access new opportunities through connectivity. And, we're honored to lead that charge here at Uplink.

These are lofty goals, but Uplink is uniquely positioned with strong leadership and partnerships to execute this vision. Our strategy is clear: start small, but dream big. Through our community and strategic partnerships, we'll showcase the transformative DePIN landscape. Our goal is to help bring the early adopter community into what we're building, get the community onboard in building the network, and grow fast. There's much to be excited about and we cannot wait to share our upcoming partnerships and announcements with the community in the coming weeks and months!

The Road Ahead.

The Uplink ecosystem has only just begun on its journey towards a fully decentralized, self-replicating, and autonomous internet network.

The role the community has in building this initial network is vital in helping us achieve this goal and vision. Our ecosystem is centered around driving value for providers, consumers, and participants in the connectivity network. Every entity and individual participating in the initial development of the ecosystem and network will receive points or rewards along the way in helping us build the decentralized internet network availability everywhere.

In the upcoming months we will be launching community programs, a newly improved Discord server with roles and opportunities for members in the community to get more involved, prizes, AMAs with the team, and more! This recent funding round is only the first in a string of partnerships and announcements that are to come in the upcoming months. We cannot wait to share with the community what we're building! Speaking of building, more development and product updates will be shared with the community and Discord soon through our Uplink Litepaper and initial Roadmap. Updates on our blockchain partnership, Testnet, and community activities are all on there, so stay tuned for what's coming at Uplink.
